Goals

Loving my Life....

Yes, I have been slacking on the posts. I have been loving every second of my life - being with friends, staying up late, eating bad food, and drinking too much:) I've had one race since I last posted, the twighlight 4 miler. It was hot and brutal, but my husband ran it with me! I had such a good night afterwards with my mom at the beer garden ... Then last week I celebrated my birthday in Ocean City , MD.  I drank, I danced, and I had a blast!

3.1 miles for my 31st Birthday!

Back to Life

So I've been staying up too late, drinking too much, and over indulging. When I left for the beach I was down to 134 lbs ( I don't want to know what I weigh now, ugh). The sleep deprivation is partly from my job, school, Orange is the New Black (I could write a post on this season alone! omg), etc. I have been one busy lady. It is time to make fitness a priority again, and I have the tools to do it!!!

Goals

For my birthday I got the new FitBit Alta. This is one sleek tracker... I am in love!!! Also, my husband managed to 'sneek' an in home gym in our garage while we were away. He had mentioned getting a bench press; we now have free weights, a squat rack, and a bench press! He even got the weights he knows I use (15-25 lbs dumb bells). I am so happy; I pay for a boxing gym and I didn't want to pay for anything else, so this is perfect. I'm going to start lifting  4 days a week (mixed with running and boxing). My workout is below.

A work in progress -but I will get there :)

Running

I did it. I signed up for marathon #4. It is November 12th, the Richmond Marathon. Last time I did this course in 4:08:52. I am going back and getting under the 4 hour mark. Once I do that I will never run another marathon; this is something I must do! Here is the training schedule I have followed in the past. Does anyone have a plan they recommend?

Race Schedule
  • Fire Cracker 5K (July 4th)
  • Jacksonville Triathlon (July 16th)
  • Crystal City Twilight 5K (July 23rd) *tentative*
  • RAGNAR DC (September 16-17th)
  • Richmond Marathon (November 12th)

I'm sure I will add more... but these are on the books for now. Cheers and happy running!!!
